The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 127

Allison followed Shawn into the office on the 66th floor.

"Mr. Lindbergh, Ms. Zimmer is here."

"Come in."

Allison gave Shawn a nod, and once inside, she noticed the vast size of the office. It was decorated in cool tones that Lucian favored, with a large revolving bookshelf and a cabinet filled with various valuable trinkets.

Lucian was sitting on a sofa, legs crossed. Their eyes met, and Allison was the first to look away. She whispered, "Mr. Lindbergh, I want my earring back."

"Were you the one who took me home last night?"

Allison nodded in confirmation. For double the overtime pay, she was willing.

His gaze deepened. "Allison, how did your earring end up on my bed?"

Allison's eyes widened in surprise.

So the earring had fallen off in his bedroom. She saw the disgust in his eyes. "You were drunk. I helped you upstairs, but I tripped and fell when I was laying you down," she explained.

Lucian didn't buy her explanation. He knew Allison was always trying to get close to him. For a simple silver earring worth no more than a few dozen dollars, she had brashly gone to Magnolia Gardens. If it weren't for the surveillance, he wouldn't have known about her scheming.
