Lucian Lindbergh didn’t even look up. "Check on Dr. Dylan’s situation, see what’s up, and handle it."

"Gotcha."

Shawn hesitated for a moment but couldn’t hold back his thoughts. "Mr. Lindbergh, why don’t you just tell Ms. Zimmer that you actually don’t know anything about Dr. Dylan's stuff? She's got it all wrong, you know?”

He straightened his tie. Every time Allison Zimmer came up, he would think of her pale face from earlier, which made Lucian a bit restless.

At the hospital, Allison stepped out of a patient's room. She was aimlessly wandering around when she realized she had wandered into the nephrology ward, a place she used to frequent often.

She had slept on the floor and in the hallways here, all just to keep her mother company.
