The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 180

Zachary walked down the stairs, scanned the empty living room, and couldn't find the youngsters. "Miranda, where are the kids?"

Miranda answered, "They're playing chess in the side room."

"All right, let's go check it out."

They saw Penelope sitting across George in a silent battle on the chessboard as they entered the side room.

Zachary was a bit surprised. It was Penelope and George playing chess. He walked over for a closer look.

What a game!

It didn't matter who won or lost. Anyone who saw the game would know that both players were skilled.

"Dad, Mom, why are you here? It's so boring. Let's go to the living room." Kamilla grabbed Miranda's hand, but Miranda didn't move, her eyes still fixed on the chessboard.

Kamilla urged, "Mom!"

Zachary said, "Kamilla, real gentlemen don't talk during the game."

So Kamilla shut up.

Five minutes later, George put down his chess piece and said, "I lost."

He stood up, looked at “Penelope” and said, "You're really good at chess."

Allison politely replied, "I just got lucky."

Kamilla frowned, "Really? Did you lose? Were you going easy on her? How could you lose to Penelope?!"

George sighed. He hadn't gone easy on her.

He was so aggressive during the game, even more so than Lucian.

Zachary looked at “Penelope” with a hint of admiration in his eyes. "Not bad."

Allison said, "Thank you for the compliment."

Miranda suggested, "All right, we've played enough chess. Let's go sit outside. Jason and Aidan will be here soon."

Kamilla was the first to express her excitement. "Aidan is coming too?"
