The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 186

Jason snagged another steak for Allison, to which she said, "I can handle it myself."

"Just tell me what you want to eat," Jason asked, piling more food onto Allison's plate, which was already overflowing.

Allison frowned and murmured, "I can do it myself."

"But we're classmates, aren't we? We should help each other out." Jason retorted, raising an eyebrow.

Feeling helpless, Allison kept her head down and ate her meal. Looking up, she met a pair of icy eyes —

She paused for a moment and then averted her gaze.

"Dad, try this; Penelope made a cherry pie." Miranda emerged from the kitchen with a freshly baked pie, which she handed to Carter.

Penelope was taken aback. She didn't know how to make a cherry pie. She glanced at Allison, wondering if she was the one who made it. Her fingers tightened nervously.

Carter took a bite, "Mmm, it's delicious. Penelope, I didn't know you could make a cherry pie."

Penelope laughed nervously, "Uh, I tend to learn how to make things in my spare time. If you like it, Grandpa, I can make it more often."

"You're so considerate, and it’s delicious." Carter seemed to have a good appetite, eating the pie one bite after another.

Penelope heaved a sigh of relief, thinking the matter was over.

Not pleased that Carter praised Penelope, Kamilla glared at her and said, "It's just a cherry pie. Grandpa, I can make it too if you like."

Carter, who always doted on his granddaughter, smiled and said, "All right, all right."

Satisfied, Kamilla smiled. She knew she was Grandpa's favorite. She saw Aidan take a piece of the pie and pop it into his mouth. Then he took another piece. Kamilla asked, "Aidan, do you like this too?"

Aidan replied, "It tastes good."
