The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 213

Allison's body involuntarily shuddered.

Lucian noted her reaction.

Then she started to laugh.

The man stared at the smile on her face. At this moment, she resembled a beautiful and mysterious oil painting under the chilly moonlight, alluring him to approach yet seemingly carrying a toxic quality that slowly seeped into his bones.

He couldn't believe he had misjudged the person. He couldn't believe he was actually interested in a woman like this.

Despite her confession, he still couldn't shake the temptation of her innocent exterior.

The man turned around and walked away swiftly.

Suddenly, he heard a scream from behind him: "Ah--"

Lucian turned around and saw a light blue streak in the air. Allison's body was flying over the railing. Without a second thought or any hesitation, he ran over and grabbed her hand, only to be dragged into the sea by her falling momentum.

Both of them plunged into the sea.

"Allison, Allison! Open your eyes, Allison!"

Allison felt a suffocating pain.

Who was calling her name?

It felt like her chest was being crushed by a huge stone.

She wanted to break free. She wanted to breathe.

Suddenly, something soft, cool, and slightly tobacco-flavored pressed against her lips.

Fresh air flowed in.

She coughed violently a few times before opening her eyes.

Lucian sighed in relief when he saw her eyes open.

Her face was pale, with only a hint of drunken blush on her cheeks.
