The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 288

Allison dodged his gaze, "I need to find some clothes. Where's the one I was wearing from last night?"

"You can't wear your clothes because they're ripped." He picked up a towel and wiped the water droplets off his short hair.

Allison leaned against the wardrobe, the cold touch of the glass behind her bringing her back to her senses. Her cheeks flushed, "Thanks."

"Thanks for what? Empty words do you no good. Action speaks louder than words." He glanced at her beautiful face, lightly biting his teeth.

Allison's eyes flickered, "Can I borrow one of your shirts?"

...

Five minutes later, Allison had changed into a black tracksuit. The man's clothes were big, but the tracksuit was meant to be loose anyway. Aside from the pants being a tad long, it fit her quite well.

As she prepared to leave, a voice sounded from behind her, "I'm hungry. You cook."

She froze. She turned to look at the man heading towards the study. Was he telling her to cook?

Allison went downstairs and was surprised to find that this spacious 200-square-meter mansion had no housekeeping staff.

Lucian had previously asked her to keep her distance, leaving their relationship at a stalemate. She didn't know how to face him, didn't know how to interact with him. She had her secrets in her heart, along with the dreams of her youth, and the pressures of life. But he had saved her now. Was it right for her to just walk away?

Allison went to the kitchen. Everything was clean here; all the kitchenware looked brand new.

Opening the fridge, she found it stocked with every ingredient imaginable.

Allison washed her hands and started preparing breakfast. She cooked a bunch of dishes, enough to feed four people. By the time she finished, an hour had passed.
