The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 29

At this point, Lucian's face darkened, "Get out!"

Allison paled.

She clenched her teeth and her forehead beaded with sweat, "Mr. Lindberg, I really can't afford to lose any more credits. If I do, I'll have to delay my graduation. I…"

Seeing Lucian's cold and uncompromising demeanor, Allison became anxious. Plus, she was out of breath from running; she felt her vision blur and was about to faint. When she came to, she found herself in Lucian's arms.

He pinched her waist hard, "Throwing yourself at me? Trying to tempt me? Allison, you're making me sick."

"I didn't." Allison struggled, but the man's arms were as hard as iron. She was trapped in a strange yet familiar embrace, seeing nothing but coldness and disgust in the man's eyes.

"Didn't you?" Lucian leaned in closer, his mocking voice near her ear, "Who was it then, who drugged me that night, got into my bed, laid under me, and moaned my name?"

Allison turned even paler.

She only had fragments of memory from that night, and in her confusion, she forgot who she was.

She was just Penelope's stand-in.

Seeing the innocent look in her eyes, Lucian felt a wave of annoyance in his chest. She had deceived him with this pitiful act.
