The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 322

10 a.m. in the morning, the sun was spilling through the windows into the private room.

Allison slowly opened her eyes, her neck and arms aching from spending the whole night in the same position. She looked around and realized she was still in the private room. Had she not gone home last night?

Just as she was about to get up, Payton, who had been sleeping leaning on Allison's shoulder, woke up too.

"Huh." Payton's eyes were so red and swollen she could barely open them. She looked at Allison.

Remembering their drinking spree in this room the night before, they couldn't help but grin at each other.

"Man, you picked up the tab last night, didn't you? An overnight stay in a booth at Red Jack Club doesn't come cheap." Payton said, rubbing her head.

Allison chuckled, "I did it to keep you company."

Rubbing her neck, Payton said, "Allison, you make more dough than I do."

Allison stood up, stretching out her stiff shoulders, "Alright, alright. Considering you were crying your eyes out last night, I'll foot the bill."

They started to clean up the room. They had drunk quite a bit the previous night, finishing off six bottles of beer. Rubbing her hangover-stricken head, Payton said, "No wonder my head's pounding."

"Do you want to go home and rest?" Allison asked.

"Rest? We're supposed to go shopping this afternoon. I covered Vera's shift last night and promised to buy her a necklace. Now that I think about it, it wasn't worth it. I spent two hundred bucks and I didn't even get a good look at that guy's face!" Payton said, looking downcast, "I wonder when Arthur will come back."

Allison asked, "Are you sure it was him?"

Payton sighed softly, "I didn't see his face, but I'm sure it was him. Only he has that kind of vibe. Arthur, I can remember him just by his silhouette."
