The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 388

He furrowed his brows, eyes glued to Joshua's tombstone. Suddenly, he was gasping for air. He took a deep breath as horrifying images flashed in his mind. What the hell was going on? He found it hard to breathe.

Allison was pulling weeds, oblivious to his discomfort. Nicholas' throat was dry. He asked, "Allison, how old were you when your brother and father passed away?”

"I had just started middle school.”

“Did your brother like pickles?”

“Nope. My mom said pickles are good for health, but Ricky couldn’t stand them. If you handed him a whole pickle, he’d somehow manage. But if you diced it up in food, he’d pick out every last bit.”

“Did he have any particular preferences?”

“He loved BBQ sauce, hated mayo. He didn't like lamb, said it smelled funky. He was a beef guy.”

“He was a leftie. His handwriting was real neat with his left hand.”

Nicholas' mind was suddenly buzzing. “Leftie?”

He looked at his own left hand. He never thought he was a leftie. As far as he remembered, he was always a rightie. But sometimes, he did feel his left hand was surprisingly nimble.

Nicholas stared at Joshua's tombstone, a surge of emotion welled up in his chest. An indescribable feeling rose in his heart.

...

Shawn and his girlfriend were also at the cemetery. It was her father's death anniversary. He laid flowers before the tombstone.
