The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 534

If she said so two months ago, Allison wouldn’t hesitate to comply. For her mother, she could give up many things.

But now…

Allison’s beautiful face was impassive. She just said lightly, “Oh, is that so...”

Leah had not expected that her proposition would hold no appeal to Allison. She observed Allison’s expression. Could it be that Allison no longer cared about Grace? “Impossible,” she thought. Grace was Allison’s Achilles’ heel. By controlling Grace, she thought she could manipulate Allison easily.

“Allison, the specialist I mentioned is the father of an old friend. He’s been retired for years, and it’s not easy to convince him to take on a case. The former mayor of Northern Peak once tried to get Dr. Anderson to treat his mother and it took considerable effort. You should be grateful.”

“Mrs. Flanagan, if you’re coming to me with such conditions, you might as well leave. Don’t waste my time.” Having said this, she turned around, ready to leave.

Taken by surprise, Leah rose from her seat in a panic. “Allison, what do you want?”

Allison hadn’t really thought about what she wanted. Looking at Leah, her chest was roiling with emotions.

Did she despise Leah? The answer was a resounding yes in her heart.

She had suffered oppression from the Flanagans since childhood, and she had lost a child. Her life, however, had been changed by Grace. The woman in front of her was related to her by blood. Perhaps it was the blood-related relationship that left a bitter taste in Allison’s mouth.

“I haven’t decided yet, but you owe me a favor. I’ve had my agent record this. You can’t go back on your word. Otherwise, your threats to me will be exposed. The public scrutiny Penelope suffered will seem mild in comparison. I trust Mrs. Flanagan won’t break your promises later.”

Leah stiffened. She hadn’t expected Allison to be this smart.

“Fine, I agree.”
