The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 549

“Penelope was the talk of the town during her high school days, a real wild child with a bit of a reputation. Her family had some cash to throw around, and she was free-spirited. I met her back then; we hit it off within days. We shared a few drinks, some laughs, and before you knew it, we were tangled up after she popped some pills that got her raring to go. My buddy, Tanner, another rich kid, joined in the fun. We carried on with her until the wee hours of the night. Aha, the things we did... you wouldn’t even imagine.”

Listening to Robbie’s recount, Emma was taken aback. She never pegged Penelope for leading such a chaotic private life.

Robbie spared no detail. Emma felt her cheeks flush with every word. She wanted to stop him, but then she felt this was better. She realized that the more Robbie spilled, the more it could help Allison. Robbie went on, “She got knocked up and decided to get rid of it. I mean, with so many guys she had in one night, who could even tell who the father was? She’s supposed to be the Flanagan’s little princess, but she’s got more tricks up her sleeve than a Vegas call girl.”

Emma was shocked. “Pregnant?”

Robbie, noticing her surprise and the blush on her face, found her naive reaction rather appealing. “Yeah, Penelope had an abortion back in high school. Surprised, are you?”

Emma replied, “But isn’t she the Flanagan heiress? I always thought ladies of her standing are supposed to be gentle and refined.”

Robbie shook his head. “You’ve got it all wrong. She’s wilder than any tabloid celeb, always on the prowl. And now, she’s even got something going with that... with the son of the Lindberg’s butler. Lucian Lindberg is such a big shot, but his fiancée is a slut.”

Emma couldn’t believe the scoop she was getting. Her heart raced with the implications. She knew Allison had her sights set on Lucian. If Penelope’s escapades came to light, the Lindbergs would surely call off the engagement with the Flanagans. With this in mind, she settled back on the couch.

“Are you sure about all this? How do I know you’re not making it up?”

“How could it not be true?” Robbie retorted. “Look at these pictures. I’ve got more, even racier stuff, uncensored videos, and everything. Penelope’s got this red birthmark on her leg, about the size of a dime. I know it all too well!”

“You have videos?”

“Of course. You interested?” he said. His eyes were greedily fixed on Emma’s ample chest.

Suppressing a wave of disgust, Emma replied, “Name your price.”

Just then, the door was knocked. Emma stood up and went to answer it.

Hughes was at the door, with a cigarette dangling from his lips. His blond hair was falling over his eyes. He stepped inside, casting a glance at Robbie. Robbie got to his feet, visibly intimidated by Hughes. Despite his scholarly and slight appearance, Hughes had a reputation for being ruthless. His name was well-known in certain circles, so Robbie had his reasons to be wary.

Hughes said, “Go wait for me in the second room to the right up on the third floor, by the stairs.”

After Emma left, Hughes settled himself on the couch. Lighting his cigarette in the jasmine-scented air, he took a deep drag. “What was that woman asking you about?”

Robbie stood, recounting truthfully. “She was asking about my fling with Penelope, you know, the Flanagan girl. I’ve been with her before, and then this lady comes asking all about it.”

“Penelope?” Hughes felt the name ring a bell. He thought for a moment. Wasn’t that...?
