The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 554

Lying in bed, Penelope couldn’t sleep. With a sigh, she reached for her phone and scrolled through Twitter. Her eyes fixated on the negative comments about Allison, her so-called rival. As she skimmed through the barrage of insults targeting Allison, a twisted smile crept across her face. But as she continued to read, her smile faltered.

“I just blindly trust Allison. She’s just so beatiful. Even if she did something shady in the past, I believe in her.”

“These pictures kinda look like Penelope. They have similar features. Why does everyone assume it’s Allison? Could it be Penelope?”

“I also think it looks like Penelope! Glad I’m not the only one.” This comment was liked by thousands.

Penelope gritted her teeth in frustration. She couldn’t believe it. Even now, fans were defending Allison!

Her fingers curled into a fist as a plan hatched in her mind. She quickly dialed Nathalie. “Get on it, Nat. I need you to call in some media favors. Have reporters camp out in front of Epic Entertainment tomorrow.”

Nathalie hesitated, “Are we still doing this? Didn’t your mom come to your room tonight and ask you to lay off Allison?”

Penelope was unrelenting. “We’re just rallying the reporters. We’re not responsible for anything else.”

Nathalie sighed. “But...”

Penelope said, “This was your brainchild, remember? Are you chickening out now?”

There was nothing Nathalie feared in this game. After all, if anything went south, it would be Penelope taking the fall, not her.

“Fine,” Nathalie conceded. “I’m on it. I have a friend at a magazine. She’s got a network, with hundreds of contacts across the media field.”

As Nathalie lay in bed, she mused over her conversation with Penelope. If Penelope wouldn’t listen, it wasn’t her problem. Penelope was just too naive. The designer bag given by Penelope was worth a small fortune. Nathalie caressed it lovingly before dialing another number.
