The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 580

Allison opened her eyes. There was a faint blur before her eyes, which only became clear a few seconds later.

She attempted to sit up, only to find that an arm was wrapped around her waist, and one of her hands was held firmly in a man’s grasp.

Turning her head, she realized she was snuggled into Lucian’s embrace. She had just dreamt of being trapped in a swamp, but someone took her hand and pulled her to safety. After that rescue, she had fallen into a deep, nightmare-free sleep.

She glanced at the hand clasping hers and tried to gently withdraw it. Lucian’s eyes fluttered open. “Awake?” he murmured.

“Mhm,” she replied.

He tightened his grip.

Allison’s voice was raspy with sleep. “When did you get here?”

As Allison sat up, so did Lucian. His arm was stiff from her using it as a pillow. He rolled his shoulder. Allison, with a light laugh, helped to knead the stiffness away. “That’s what you get for putting your arm under my head.”

“I didn’t have the nerve to wake you,” he said with a soft chuckle.

Allison checked the time; it was already 9 a.m. She hardly ever slept in this late, typically waking up like clockwork at 7:30. She looked at Lucian. “Could you... step out? I need to change.”

He raised an eyebrow. “You know, there isn’t an inch of you I haven’t seen.”
