The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 633

She never imagined she'd end up shooting herself in the foot like this. Penelope stood there, barely keeping it together, and scoffed, "Mind your own business, Daisy. This has nothing to do with you. And for the record, I never said I was giving Ms. Grace the pearl necklace. I just grabbed the wrong box."

"Oh, so you grabbed the wrong box, huh?" Daisy replied with a raised eyebrow. "Then what was your intended gift? Show us, let's see it." She turned to the cameraman behind her and said, "Max, make sure you capture the big reveal of what Ms. Flanagan has for Ms. Grace. It better not be something cheap, especially after Penelope's tweets about how she's going to visit Ms. Grace regularly and treat her like family. We need to see the truth, and we'll share it online for everyone to see."

Penelope stomped her foot in frustration. "You wouldn't dare post that!"

"Why wouldn't I?" Daisy shot back. "I'll upload it as soon as we get back. Let's see how you handle the fallout when everyone sees your performative charity right after all those grandstanding tweets."

Provoked, Penelope dug into her purse and pulled out a jewel-toned velvet jewelry box. She held it out to Daisy with a look of defiance. "This is the gift I meant to give Ms. Grace. I accidentally took the pearl necklace instead."

Daisy hadn't expected Penelope to lose her cool so quickly. She came here intending to expose Penelope's facade but didn't anticipate that she would actually pull out the rose diamond necklace intended for Leah.

Penelope tilted her chin up, faced the camera, and opened the box to reveal the sparkling diamonds inside.

"Ms. Grace, I made a mistake earlier. This necklace is the one I want to give you." As she spoke, she handed the necklace to Grace.

With a smile plastered on her face, Penelope was inwardly bleeding money.

That rose diamond necklace was worth over sixty thousand dollars, meant to appease Leah.

And now, she had to give it to Grace?
