The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 635

In Silvertown, the night had settled like a cozy blanket over the town. Allison was tucked away in her hotel room, leafing through a script when Emma knocked and poked her head in. "Did you see the buzz online? When did you give Ms. Grace that necklace? And it definitely wasn’t cheap."

Allison had noticed the trending topic earlier and figured it was Daisy's doing. The necklace had Daisy’s family jewelry logo on it. She planned to wire Daisy the money, even though she knew Daisy would probably refuse it. Turning to Emma, she said, "Can you head to the department store and pick out a nice handbag for Daisy?"

"Sure thing."

On her way back, Emma grabbed some fresh fruit and stashed it in the fridge.

Allison skimmed the script again, then looked up, rubbing her temples. "Could you let the production team know I'm okay with stepping back from the lead role?"

Emma was stunned. "Really?"

"Yeah," Allison said. "Aaron's got the reputation, the skills, the resume, and his films are box office gold. He's a household name, and here I am, a rookie, taking top billing over him—it just doesn’t feel right."

Emma nodded. "I only found out today that Aaron’s the lead in this one. He’s so selective with his roles now; he hardly takes any projects unless the script really speaks to him. Him starring opposite you in this film is... well, it's a total shock."

Allison mused, "I was surprised too, to have him as the lead."

She had assumed the male lead would be someone fresh like herself or a seasoned actor without much of a following. She hadn’t expected a star like Aaron to sign on.

Biting her lip slightly, she instructed Emma, "Please, talk to the producers for me."

"It seems Aaron’s got a special appearance clause."

In the film industry, there were cameos, guest spots, and special appearances. A cameo was usually unpaid, a brief feature. But a special appearance was reserved for big names who didn’t want to be overshadowed by a lesser-known actor, yet weren’t the primary protagonist.

"Even if it's a special appearance, Aaron should have top billing," Allison stated.

Emma understood Allison’s character well. "Got it. I’ll get in touch with them right away."
