The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 681

“Kenneth?” he muttered the name under his breath. This Allison was making waves—just a rookie, but she’d already landed a role in a Wade Cooper film. With powerhouse backers, she was untouchable.

He'd once thought Patrick Hudson was behind her rise. But even Patrick, with his considerable clout, couldn’t reach Wade Cooper’s level.

“What does she want with me?”

“Not sure. Should I let Emma in?”

Kenneth waved dismissively. “I’m not in the mood. Just tell her no.”

Aggie stepped out but returned within minutes. “Kenneth, Emma says you’ll regret it if you turn her down.”

“Regret, huh? Some nerve she’s got,” Kenneth scoffed.

Aggie leaned in. “I think we should meet her. The power behind this woman is serious. Doesn’t seem like it’s the Landrys.”

“Alright, send Emma in.”

Emma walked in with a steady, determined stride.

“Kenneth, first time meeting you, so I’ll cut to the chase. No strings attached, you can trust that. I’m here for Allison. She asked me to tell you: tonight at 8, Tower Bistro, private room 502. She wants to have dinner with you. You know, to sort out your little... predicament.”

With that, Emma turned on her heel and left.

Kenneth was taken aback. Sort out his predicament? Was Allison really that influential?

He looked at Aggie. “Can you dig up anything on Allison’s backers, her background?”

Aggie shook his head. “Remember when Sadie got blacklisted? She came to me, desperate for a role in a web series since she had landed a gig with Cathy Hamilton. Even as a rising star, when the producers heard Sadie’s name, it was like dropping a stone in the ocean—nothing. Word was someone high up at Epic Entertainment issued a gag order on her. Since we didn’t catch wind of it, it must’ve been Mr. Landry himself.”
