The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 69

Dr. Dylan seemed to have gotten a read on her thoughts, he said seriously, "Every job deserves respect.”

Allison looked at him, then broke into a chuckle.

At the table.

"Jade, what are you staring at?" Heidi from Thoracic Surgery walked over, "You're not pining for Dr. Dylan again, are you?"

Jade's cheeks turned red, she shyly lowered her head, "Stop talking nonsense."

"You're blushing! It's so obvious, every time Dr. Dylan leaves, you keep sneaking glances, even lost interest in singing. You really think we can't see it?"

"Yeah, how far have you gotten with Dr. Dylan? Spill the beans."

Jade's face turned redder, she said a bit sadly, "He said he has a girlfriend now, you guys heard it too."

"There's no way Dr. Dylan has a girlfriend, my friend works in the same department and she hasn't heard anything about him getting a girlfriend. He must be just using it as an excuse to fend off Dr. Thalia's nosiness. You and Dr. Dylan are such a match... in terms of looks and everything else."

Jade just smiled through all of this, "Let's get back to the game."

Just then, the door to the room swung open.

Someone shouted, "Dr. Dylan's here, and this is...?"

Suddenly, all eyes were on him.

Allison felt a surge of anxiety, but Dr. Dylan squeezed her hand, signaling her to stay calm. He walked in with Allison, his eyes landing on Dr. Thalia who was sitting on the couch, "Dr. Thalia, this is my girlfriend."

Dr. Thalia took a look at Allison, noticing she was dressed as a waitress. She was taken aback at first, then chuckled pushing up her glasses, "You got a girlfriend and only now decided to show her off. If we hadn't gathered today, you wouldn't even bother telling me, right?"
