The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 693

Andy took a swig of his beer and chuckled, “Well, I do appreciate the compliment, but I gotta admit, I’m not quite sure what you mean.”

Allison grabbed a glass of wine from the table and, in a sudden move, splashed it all over her face.

Then, with deliberate fingers, she started undoing the buttons of her cream-colored, embroidered blouse. As she slipped it off and tossed it to the floor, revealing a charcoal grey tank top underneath, Andy froze, puzzled by her actions. Surely, she wasn’t trying to play some seductive game to settle their issues; that couldn’t be it.

Hudson’s eyes were glued to the scene. Even though Allison wasn’t fully exposed, just the sight of her fair skin beneath the tank top sent a jolt through his senses.

Allison raised her hand, smudging her lipstick slightly at the corner of her mouth.

Just then, a fierce knocking erupted at the door—

Andy stood up, startled, “What’s going on?”

The knocking grew more intense, as if someone was trying to break in.

Andy’s bodyguards were outside; the sound of a scuffle was audible.

Both Andy and Hudson had been on edge these past few weeks, lying low and avoiding trouble. Now, sensing an impending crisis, they were visibly shaken. Still, Andy managed to keep his composure. “What’s the deal? Who’s causing a ruckus out there?”

A waiter slowly approached the door. Suddenly panicked, Hudson blurted out, “No, don’t open it!”

Emma seized the moment to shove Hudson aside and then moved to Allison’s side. She picked up the discarded blouse from the floor and draped it over Allison, whose eyelashes glistened with tears – the remnants of the wine splash. Looking straight at Hudson, she questioned, “Mr. Sears, who just said that if I walk out that door, I’m a goner?”
