The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 1288

"Thalassa, why the rush? Hold up for me," Evelyn called out, panting slightly as she tried to keep up.

Thalassa had hailed an Uber.

They were now waiting outside the hotel for their ride.

Just as they settled into position, a sleek white Lamborghini pulled up beside Thalassa.

She stepped aside with Evelyn, giving the car some space to park.

The window glided down to reveal a striking face that seemed to glisten in the sunlight.

It was Lysander.

Thalassa's heart skipped a beat at the sight of him, and she instinctively tightened her grip on Evelyn's hand.

Lysander's piercing gaze fell on Thalassa for a moment before shifting downward to the hands clasped tightly together. Thalassa appeared nervous, perhaps even fearful of him.

"Need a lift?" Lysander's deep voice broke the silence.

Evelyn was about to reply, but Thalassa pulled her back and stepped forward. "You're blocking the way. Our Uber will need space to stop."

"The Uber won't be coming," Lysander said, his voice rich and enigmatic.

Thalassa's eyes flickered with confusion. "What did you do to the Uber driver?"

How could Lysander possibly know she had ordered an Uber? And even the specific driver?

Lysander's eyes grew dark as the depths of the ocean, fixating on her. "You seem to care about everyone else," he said, the chill in his voice unmistakable.

Everyone but him.

Feeling the coldness in his stare, Thalassa's brows knitted together, her breath catching. Although she was deeply upset by his actions, she still dared not truly provoke him. She knew the consequences.

Her mother had already endured enough humiliation today, and she couldn't risk any further distress.

"I'm just concerned about whether my ride is coming or not," Thalassa responded, implying that her concern was for the ride itself rather than the driver.

"Get in," Lysander commanded.
