And this villa was built right where her house used to be. It was hard not to wonder, could this villa be her house?

Thalassa paused, turning around to see him coming from the villa. But she didn't recognize him. She grew even angrier, turning back around to confront him, "Are you the owner of this villa? Do you know this land was ours? Why did you tear down our house without our consent?"

Thalassa spat out a string of questions in one breath. Kind people really did get walked all over. And now it was happening to them. Their house had been torn down.
