The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 248

Thalassa was jittery as hell. She immediately apologized, "I'm so sorry, Mr. Sinclair, I had no idea you were coming."

She quickly grabbed the door handle, swinging the door wide open.

As Lysander's piercing gaze shifted away from her and he walked in, a chill seemed to sweep through the air. It was as if a cold gust of wind hit Thalassa right in the face, making her scared shitless.

She kept her head down, not daring to even glance at Lysander's clothes.

Damn, it was scary.

David followed suit, stepping into the room. Spotting Thalassa, he said in a low voice, "Ms. Everhart, fancy seeing you here already."

Thalassa gave an embarrassed chuckle, "David, you're so nice."

In the conference room.

The long conference table was filled on both sides with the company's bigwigs, with Lysander sitting at the head.

He wore a custom-made, all-black suit that radiated an air of unmatchable opulence, right down to the cufflinks. His tall frame was comfortably positioned in a black leather chair, and his presence dominated the room.

Even the company's President, Leopold, had to take a seat below him.

Everyone held their breath, treading on eggshells.

Thalassa, nerves on edge, walked over to the multimedia computer and loaded up the PowerPoint slides.

As soon as she had it going, she straightened up, waiting for the meeting to start.

Suddenly, she noticed that everyone at the table had a weird look on their faces. Some were even pulling faces at her.

Thalassa was taken aback. What the hell was going on?

Just as Thalassa was wondering, Lysander's deep gaze landed on her.

His deep and inscrutable eyes were like the unfathomable night sky.

Thalassa's heart started racing. Had she done something wrong? Why was he looking at her like that?

Damn, it was creepy.

Leopold covered his mouth, clearing his throat.

Thalassa was still clueless.
