"Unbelievable! You have quadruplets and all of them are so gorgeous. You're one lucky lady!" The store owner said, clearly in awe of Thalassa.
"Thank you!" Thalassa replied sincerely.
"Which one is this one?" The owner asked, looking at Sophia.
"She's the youngest, the fourth one," Thalassa answered.
"Ah, the youngest. My son also has two older sisters. They all seem to have the same taste in toys. Must be a connection. Tell you what, your daughter seems to really love this toy. I'll sell it to you. My son found it on the beach. How about for ten bucks?" The owner proposed a deal and agreed to sell that toy for a price.
The small circular pendant was just a toy and an old one at that, found by the owner's son on a beach.
Its value was certainly less than ten dollars, even ten cents would be pushing it.
But Thalassa couldn't bear to disappoint Sophia, who was looking at the pendant with such hope.
So, she agreed to his proposal, "Alright, we'll take it."
"Mommy, I want that teddy bear," Elowen tugged at Thalassa's clothes, pointing at the plushie.
"Mommy, I want that Spiderman mask," Dorian too found a toy she liked.
Atticus kept silent. He thought the toys in the store were childish.
He only liked playing with his tablet and coding.
"Okay, mommy will buy them for you," Thalassa replied gently.
After the children picked out their toys, Thalassa paid for them, and they continued browsing.
If it were a normal day, Evelyn would stop the kids from buying those toys, especially since the old circular pendant was priced at ten dollars.
But today, Evelyn wanted to spoil the kids and didn't intervene and agreed to their requests.
