The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 388

"Sweetie, it's time for bed." Thalassa gently patted his tiny chest, coaxing him to sleep.

She thought she had disturbed his slumber.

In the dark night, Dorian pouted. He felt sorry for his mom and wanted to comfort her with a hug.

But he was afraid if she'd find out he wasn't asleep.

So, he suppressed his urge to embrace her. He closed his eyes obediently and pretended to sleep, not wanting to worry his mom.

After patting Dorian for a while, Thalassa heard his steady breathing. He was asleep again.

Relieved, she left the room to freshen up.

The next day was a workday.

Thalassa hadn't eaten or rested well at the Royal Estates for the past few days, and she was very exhausted. Plus, she had slept late last night.

When she woke up, there was no one at home. Instinctively panicked, Thalassa grabbed her phone and saw it was already past ten in the morning.

At this time, the kids would have already gone to school.

What was strange was that Evelyn hadn't returned either.

Thalassa called her mother and learned that after Evelyn had dropped the kids at the kindergarten, she went to the card room to watch a game.

Feeling reassured, Thalassa got ready and headed out.

As she drove onto the asphalt road, Thalassa received a call from an unknown number.

"Hello, who is this?" Thalassa asked politely.

"Thalassa, it's me, Bruce."

When Thalassa heard this name, her first reaction was to hang up.

"Wait, I'm calling to inform you that your daughter Elowen has made it to the finals of the gourmet competition. The final round is at ten in the morning, three days from now. Don't forget," Bruce quickly added.
