The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 447

The palpable silence was unsettling, and Thalassa felt a shiver of unease. Just as she was about to lose her composure, he let go of her hand.

"Don't stay up late," he cautioned before leaving the room.

As Thalassa watched his towering figure disappear, she let out a sigh of relief. She had an uncanny feeling that Lysander's sudden visit to Hertha's house was for her.

He came because she had skipped work!

Otherwise, why would the CEO bother to deliver a mere check from a gourmet competition? That was a task easily delegated to an assistant.

And the reporters added nothing to his public image.

Lysander didn't need to build an image of responsibility and philanthropy. He was already so formidable and needed no image crafting.

Thalassa shook her head, dispersing her wild thoughts.

Lysander just visited her in person and granted her a three-day leave. Was she that important to him? It must be a ploy to create an image of a caring, responsible, and child-loving man.

After all, people tended to make up for what they lacked.

Hertha had her ear pressed against the door, straining to hear the conversation. Suddenly, the door swung open from the inside. Hertha stumbled but managed to stop herself from crashing into Lysander.

Looking up at the brooding figure, she forced a chuckle, "Ha, Mr. Sinclair, leaving so soon? Won't you stay for dinner?"

Lysander spared her a glance, ignored her, and strode away with a commanding air.

"Mr. Sinclair, take care," Hertha called out, still chuckling nervously. "Do visit again..."

Before she could finish, Thalassa dragged her inside.
