Not to mention the past between Thalassa and Leopold that couldn't be rubbed off.
Thalassa was probably hurting more than her.
"It will pass. Let the departed rest in peace. The living must carry on," Hertha embraced Thalassa, her voice comforting her but also frail.
She prayed for Thalassa to recover from the shadow soon.
Thalassa didn’t move her rigid body.
The two people held each other by the sea; they appeared to be so insignificant in front of the vast ocean.
At the cemetery.
The funeral had ended and the guests began to depart.
Leopold's grandfather, Darian Sinclair, who was also Lysander's uncle, supported Zephyr as they left the cemetery. Leopold's father Payton helped Amelia walk in the end. They got into the car prepared by the Sinclair family, drove away, and left the place of sorrow.
Lysander led his four kids to their car.
Just as they were about to get in, the dark sky suddenly rumbled with thunder. A lightning bolt tore through the sky.
"Whoa, Dad, I'm scared!" Elowen was so frightened that she buried her head in between Lysander’s calves; her chubby hands were clinging to his leg tightly as her plump little body tensed with fear.
Lysander bent over to take Elowen into his arms; his large hand fondled her little head, "Don't be afraid, Daddy's here."
After a simple reassurance, he put Elowen, then the rest three kids in the car. He closed the car door and looked up at the sky.
Dark clouds filled the sky, with lightning still illuminating the clouds. It was about to rain soon.
Thalassa hated this kind of stormy weather, especially the thunder.
