The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 967

The expected pain never came. Thalassa's eyes snapped open to meet Bruce's brooding glare, a mix of dread and malevolence.

His phone had been ringing incessantly in his hand, but he never picked up.

As the ringing stopped on its own, he quickly powered off the phone, his gaze shifting to Thalassa with a ferocity that made her blood run cold. He pointed at her, teeth clenched, and hissed a venomous threat, "Not a word about how you got here, not to anyone, especially not to Lysander. Otherwise, that video of your mother, the one where she's writhing in pleasure under me, will go viral on every social media platform. I bet she'd be quite the hit as a star of that sort of film!"

His face contorted in a menacing grimace as he spat out the words.

Thalassa felt her teeth grinding in fury.

With his piece said, Bruce lingered no longer. He turned on his heel and left the room, leaving Thalassa alone with her rage. Despite the visceral desire to keep her, he knew he had to release her for now. But he wasn't worried; he had leverage.

Struggling to rise from the bed, Thalassa staggered to the door. Her hands were bound behind her back, making the simple task of turning the knob a feat of desperation. Just as her fingers grazed the handle, the door swung open from the outside.

Her heart clenched in terror, and she instinctively lunged for the exit.

"Whoa there, darling, where do you think you're going?" A burly man blocked her path, shoving the onrushing Thalassa back into the room with brute force.

The man was the sleazy character who had just been dealing with Bruce.

Thalassa's eyes widened in fear as she backed away, but the man licked his lips, inching closer with a predatory grin. "Bruce left you all alone, such a shame to waste a beauty like you."

Her eyes grew wider still as panic set in.
