The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires novel Chapter 83

Jeffrey's words hit Everett right in the feels.

It was indeed true that since the blow-up, Everett's phone hadn't even buzzed with a single text from Dorothy.

"Wake up, Everett," Jeffrey said, "There's someone else better for you. Someone who actually cares about you."

He might as well have said Heather's name.

But Everett just pursed his lips, eyes glued to his phone screen without a word.

Seeing him like that, Jeffrey sighed and said, "All right, I'll stop blabbering. You must figure this out yourself! Need help packing? You've got that business trip tonight."

"No thanks, I'll drive myself back to Bay Residence."

"You're going back to her?!" Jeffrey knew Dorothy lived at Bay Residence.

"I left some clothes there."

"I can go get them for you."

"No need." Everett's reply was curt.

His feelings were written all over his face.

Everett thought that maybe it was all just a big misunderstanding.

"Everett, listen to me this once. Don't go back! See when she'll finally reach out! You can't keep fooling yourself."

...

On the other hand, even though Kenneth was throwing a housewarming dinner, Dorothy was quiet the whole time, constantly checking her phone.

It was already half past seven. Everett should have been on his way to his business trip, right?

Didn't he notice she had left Bay Residence?

Or was that whole thing not worth a phone call for the busy Mr. Lopez?
