"The new product line we're launching is called 'Destiny'. For the advertisement, we need two actors. I don't want A-list Hollywood stars; I fancy the indie route. For the male lead, I'm thinking..."
She paused, glancing at Arnold.
He chuckled, "You're thinking Avery, aren't you?"
"Uh-huh," she shot him a sly smile, "Why let outsiders take our benefits?"
"For the female lead, I'll leave that to you. You have an eye for talent; I'm sure you'll pick the perfect one."
"Sure, leave it to me," he nodded with a smile.
Just then, his WhatsApp pinged.
There was a message from a friend in a group chat: [Evelyn is holding a memorial for her sister at Azure Skies Villa.]
A video was uploaded shortly after.
A fleeting shadow passed over his eyes, and he showed Aurelia the message. "Want to watch the video? Bit of a drama unfolding, it seems."
"Sure." Without a second's hesitation, Aurelia nodded and moved to sit next to him.
Everyone loves a bit of gossip, and she was certain Leopold would be there.
Arnold played the video.
Azure Skies Villa was where Megan lived before her passing. Her friends were there, along with a group from Astral Enterprises Design Department.
Aurelia quickly spotted them but Leopold was nowhere to be seen.
Sensing her disappointment, Arnold murmured, "Your boss probably isn't there."
"Ah," she stuck out her tongue.
At a time like this, he would probably prefer to remember Megan in private.
Evelyn wore a long white dress, adorned with tiny diamonds, making it look like a starry night sky. Her hair was dyed brown and styled in a vintage updo, reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn. She looked breathtakingly beautiful.
