Kane was etched with a serious look, "If Skyler starts getting suspicious, then Dad might be onto us too."
William clapped a hand over his cherub cheeks, "Uncle Leopold wouldn't rip off my mask, right? Maybe I should lay low at Grandma and Grandpa's for a few days."
If only Arnold was here, everything would be fine. With him around, William wouldn't be afraid of anything. Arnold would always protect him.
With that thought, William quickly whipped out his smartwatch to shoot a distress text to Arnold.
Kane stroked his chin thoughtfully, "You can run but you can't hide forever, buddy. Even if you hide out at your grandparents', Dad could show up there too."
William drooped his head in dejection.
"Maybe I should just jet off to Dad's place abroad and come back after the winter break."
Kane clapped him on the shoulder, "Christmas is just around the corner, and Uncle Arnold will be back too. He can't exactly whisk you away to spend the holidays internationally."
William spiked his anxiety. "I might as well get plastic surgery at this point, so I don't have to wear a mask anymore."
Kane replied, "Dad could still ask for a DNA test, and that's the real deal breaker."
William clutched his head in horror. Could Uncle Leopold swipe his hair for a DNA test while he slept? Oh good Lord.
"Kane, I'm seriously paranoid that Uncle Leopold's going to pilfer my hair in my sleep these next few days."
Kane figured it was a real possibility. If Leopold was suspicious, a DNA test would be inevitable.
"I've got a plan."
"What's the plan?" William asked eagerly.
Kane whispered his scheme, and William nodded in agreement, "Alright, let's do it."
The next morning, the two sneaked into Nina's room.
Nina was blessed with luscious locks that were stunningly beautiful.
