The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 251

"Which youngster doesn't have a mortgage nowadays when they want to buy a house? You're thirty and living off your parents, and how can you dare to pay in full for a house in the city? You think you're some trust fund kid?" Jelena scoffed.

Ritchie shot her a venomous look and said, "Shut up, Jelena. No one asked for your opinion."

Jelena chuckled and said derisively, "Keep doing then. You just keep living off your parents. What do you do when your parents can't support you in life?"

Jolin took over, "Jelena is not wrong. If you can't afford it, get a mortgage. Get a job, and work together with your wife to pay off the loan. You're thirty, Ritchie, stop loafing around."

Aurelia sighed inwardly. Emma might be pretending to be a rich girl, but at least she graduated from a good college and even spent two years as an exchange student in England.

Ritchie dropped out after middle school and went to a vocational school. His parents found him a job, but he quit because he didn't want to get up early. Ever since then, he'd been living off his parents. So, in this marriage, Emma seemed to be the one who got the short end of the stick.

Perla, hearing her son being berated, grew upset. She loved her son dearly, and she didn't mind him living off them.

"Ritchie isn't just loafing around, and he live-streams his gaming. He can make a few hundred dollars a month. How many youngsters are willing to endure hardships nowadays? Many have quit their jobs to live-stream or make short videos. Jelena, you do the same, don't you?"

"I'm signed with a company. I have to go to work every day." Jelena pouted.

Belinda, having her chicken noodle soup, said slowly, "You don't have to sell the ancestral house. Aurelia is marrying into the Stirling family. I heard those rich people were generous when preparing wedding. Why not use some of wedding fund to buy Ritchie a house? Ritchie is Zack's nephew, practically his son. It's only right for him to help Ritchie. Later, they can arrange a job for Ritchie, something easy with a high salary. A daughter marrying into a rich family should help her own family. If she can't help, why marry at all?"

Jolin chuckled, "When Avery fell ill, you and Rahul didn't do anything. The hospital bills were paid by my family. The Stirling family can help my family if they want, not those who are unwilling to lift a finger."

With that, she stood up and said, "I'll pay for the meal, and you all enjoy. We won't stick around."
