Ritchie had always been a bully at home but a coward outside. Now, he was furious but didn't dare do something. Instead, he muttered, "I am the eldest grandson of the Hawthorne family, and their ancestral house should be mine. I'd sell it, and anyone who tries to stop me, I'll crush them."
"No matter who you crush, you'll have to face the consequences, and then the ancestral house wouldn't have anything to do with you," Aurelia retorted before leaving with Jolin and Jelena.
Perla was upset and annoyed, slapping her thigh, and she asked, "Mom, what do we do now? We've already paid the deposit, so we can't back out now."
"If we have to, let's just make a down payment for now. It's not necessary to pay the full amount upfront," Belinda suggested.
Ritchie disagreed, "No, I've already told Emma that we'd be paying in full. If we change to a mortgage now, she'll look down on me."
Belinda sighed, "Zack's family is holding a grudge against us because of Avery’s illness. They won’t help you."
Perla spat on the ground and said, "When it comes to continuing the Hawthorne lineage, it will have to depend on Ritchie. Can we rely on Avery, that weakling? The ancestral house should rightfully belong to Ritchie."
Belinda heaved another sigh and said, "When we were building the house, you didn't want to spend money. If you had been willing to shell out more, the first-floor shop wouldn't have been owned by Zack's family."
Ritchie laughed evilly, "I have a plan." Then he shared his idea.
Hearing this, Perla didn't hesitate, slapping her thigh, and she agreed, "Okay, let's do it this way."
After leaving the restaurant, Aurelia took Jolin and Jelena to eat fish in another restaurant.
Jolin was furious and said, "Ritchie is getting worse. If his parents continue to spoil him like this, there's bound to be trouble."
Jelena sneered, "He's just a bully at home and a coward outside."
Aurelia had a bad feeling in her heart, worrying that he might do something drastic to raise money.
Just then, her phone rang. It was a WhatsApp message from Arnold, "Aurelia, are you feeling good today? I'm at a canyon right now."
He sent over a few photos.
