The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 282

Leopold shot her a meaningful glance, "And what about your opinion?"

She murmured, "The initial promotions for 'Destiny' are already in place. I am very confident and can split half of the advertising slots to 'Eternal Love', but it has to be an even split. Mr. Louis can't just take all the prime spots."

Leopold nodded slightly, seeming reasonable.

She blinked, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips, "I plan to start working from home tomorrow, and return to the office in two weeks."

Leopold rubbed his forehead, "You're such a dedicated employee, but you're nothing like a traditional housewife!"

Aurelia scoffed inwardly. Did maintaining a household and raising children put money in the bank? True respect for a woman could only be earned through her own efforts and achievements!

"Mr. Leopold, as I've said before, I'm career-focused."

She loved her work, and she could forget all her troubles while working.

Although a month had passed, when midnight dreams returned, she would still think of the child she had lost prematurely, her heart aching in waves.

The thought of him once in her belly, playing with his brother, listening to stories together, kicking her belly with his tiny feet, yet not being able to come into this world safely with his brother, tore her apart. She couldn't forgive herself.

This pain might follow her for the rest of her life, no amount of painkillers could suppress it. Only throwing herself into work could distract her thoughts, preventing her from thinking of the child.

Her eyes welled up.

Leopold perceptively noticed and pulled her into his arms, "You can work from home, but you're not returning to the office until your maternity leave is over."

She swallowed, suppressing her sorrow, "Why? I don't need to breastfeed the child. When I'm not around, mum and Laura can take care of the baby. I can totally go to work."

Leopold's expression became stern, "The delivery man that caused the accident has disappeared, we haven't found him yet."
