Melissa was fuming, tempted to kick William down the hillside so hard he'd shatter into a million pieces.
Aurelia pulled William close to her side, “Alright, no more mischief with Melissa. How about we have pot roast and bread for dinner tonight?”
William nodded enthusiastically. “I love the pot roast you make, Mommy.”
The bodyguard lit the wood stove.
Aurelia sliced the pot roast she had brought and placed it on the stove to heat up.
This pot roast was her recipe, and both William and Kane were crazy about it.
Soon, a tantalizing aroma wafted through the air, and Skyler, drooling, squatted next to the stove, waiting to eat.
After the pot roast was warmed, she cracked some eggs and made French toast.
To round off the meal, she prepared a creamy soup.
Megan and Melissa chatted idly by, waiting to eat. They were the type who would never dream of cooking.
Yuna exchanged glances with the bodyguards. They all adored Aurelia, not only was she beautiful and kind, but her cooking was exceptionally delicious.
Dinner was ready in no time.
Melissa didn't mind eating Aurelia’s cooking, and she treated her like a servant attending to her, the pampered lady of the house.
After biting into a piece of the pot roast, Melissa criticized on purpose, “This meat is too tough, not tasty at all. I’m used to Michelin-starred chefs’ creations, not this humble fare. I can hardly stomach it.”
Leopold snatched her plate away in one swift move. “Then stop eating. There wasn’t a portion for you in the first place.”
Melissa seized her plate back, “It’s yucky, but I can’t say it out loud?”
