After finishing dinner, Megan slipped into her tent, quietly pulling out a secret cell phone from her bag.
"Two months from now, I'll have to hand over the last of the antibiotics to Leopold. Then, I'll lose the leverage I have over him. I need new leverage, hopefully, you can set things up to ensure my position remains as solid as a mountain."
Once the message was sent, she immediately deleted it, leaving no trace behind.
Leopold and Aurelia were sitting with little William on a large boulder, watching the sunset.
In his childlike voice, William recited a poem.
Leopold ruffled his hair. Even though William had a sharp tongue and often argued with him, he couldn't help but adore him, always treating him as if he was Liam.
"I wish you were my son." Leopold couldn’t help but sigh.
Aurelia's heart quivered at those words like a string plucked on a harp.
What would he do if he ever discovered the truth?
William stuck out his tongue playfully. Life was full of surprises, and he actually was his son.
"Uncle Leopold, you already have a son. It's probably best not to have too many, and one is enough. Otherwise, there might have been the Game of Thrones, and you definitely couldn't handle that."
Leopold was speechless. He always had to say something shocking.
"In my world, there's no such thing as fighting for the throne."
"Half-brothers with the same father are rivals, but half-brothers with the same mother are allies. If anyone dares to challenge Kane, I won't let them off easily."
Megan emerged from her tent, fuming at the conversation.
That little bastard Kane wouldn't live much longer. The moment her son was born, it would be his end. No one would compete with her son.
She approached, her belly showing her advanced pregnancy, "Honey, will you take a walk with me?"
Seeing him with Aurelia set her jealousy ablaze.
