The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 75

"As long as we're still married, you can't so much as think about another man!" He was like a tyrant, imposing his will ruthlessly, with the threat of dire consequences for those who dared to defy him.

Aurelia despised his high-handedness, but she knew better than to fight fire with fire. She wasn't foolish enough to throw a raw egg against a brick wall.

"If you're done here, I'll be on my way to avoid any further speculation."

She cautiously opened the door just a crack, peering out to make sure the coast was clear. Then she slipped out like a thief in the night, as if she was having an illicit affair.

Leopold watched her sneaky exit with a mix of scorn and inexplicable irritation. She didn't regard him as her husband in any way. To her, he was nothing more than a moving ATM!

Returning to her seat, Aurelia found Elowen storming in, seething with rage. Oh boy, this was going to be the drama of the year.

She took a sip of her juice, ready to watch the show unfold.

Without a word, Elowen marched up to Evelyn and raised her hand to slap her.

Evelyn could have easily avoided it. She was a black belt in karate, and Elowen was no match for her.

But she didn't dodge. Spotting Leopold out of the corner of her eye, she took the slap without flinching.

The slap echoed throughout the silent hall. Evelyn covered her face, tears welling up in her eyes. She was a picture of pitiful innocence.

"Elowen, what the hell is this?"

Elowen glared at her malevolently, "What right do you have to speak to me? You little tramp! You've been throwing yourself at Leopold since the moment you got back. Do you think I'm invisible?"

Leopold strode up, and Evelyn immediately sought shelter behind him. "Leo."

She sniffled, tears streaming down her face. Leopold called for a waiter to bring an ice pack for her face. When his gaze turned to Elowen, it was icy cold. "Apologize to Evelyn now!"

Elowen's face turned pale, "Why should I apologize? She's shamelessly flirting with you. I should have hit her harder."
