Aurelia's face turned pale. The email had been sent, not only to the big boss, but to the entire company.
The whole thing was a trap set by Evelyn.
She had fallen right into it!
If she didn't handle this properly, she would not only be disciplined, but also risk dragging the entire marketing department down with her. They would avoid her like a plague, and who would be there to help her then?
As she entered the conference room, all eyes were on her.
Struggling to maintain her composure, she focused on the report on the table.
Leopold was the last to enter.
He'd seen how bold his lawfully wedded wife could be. Nothing she did surprised him anymore.
The deputy director coughed and turned his gaze to Aurelia, "Manager Aurelia, what's this about the email Emma sent today?"
Evelyn flashed a fake smile, "Manager Aurelia invited the marketing team for dinner. She probably wanted to build a stronger bond within the department. Why didn't she invite us too? After all, we're all in the same department, and even if there's competition, we need to stick together, right?"
Her words seemed helpful but were in fact putting Aurelia in a corner, leaving her no room to use team bonding as an excuse.
