Nicole did not think too much and ran outside.
There was a huge Tibetan Mastiff at the entrance of the large manor. It was at least double her size.
Nicole was sullen for a while and took a step back in fear.
Angie was probably not afraid that Nicole would run because of this big dog.
The Tibetan Mastiff barked, and soon, a maid came over and took the dog away.
The maid did not even look at Nicole.
Nicole was stunned for a moment as she did not expect anyone else to be there.
This was an unfamiliar environment and
location.
Nicole was a little flustered.
Angie was nowhere to be seen.
It seemed that the maid and Nicole were the only ones left in the whole manor, as well as that dog.
Nicole felt hopeless for a while.
She went back and looked around, but could not find a phone.
When it was time for dinner, the maid showed up again.
"Ms. Stanton, please come downstairs for dinner."
Nicole paused. "Is Angie here too?"
The maid turned around without answering her question.
Although Nicole did not have an appetite, it was in her best interest to understand her environment so that she could figure out the enemy.
She heard someone talking downstairs.
There was more than one voice.
Nicole quickened her pace.
When she went downstairs, she saw the people downstairs and was stunned for a moment.
"Angie, why is she here?"
The person sitting with Angie at the dinner table was Quinn.
Nicole's expression changed, and her mind was full of doubts.
Why was Quinn here?
Angie glanced at Nicole, then withdrew her gaze and said indifferently, "I invited Ms.
Stanton over.'
Nicole walked over and sat opposite them.
The food on the table looked like local Erethean food.
Nicole's heart sank a little. It looked like they were not in Mediania, but in Erethea.
Quinn, who was opposite her, sneered.
"I'm really unlucky to see you everywhere I go.”
Nicole raised her eyes. Her voice was clear and cold.
“Mrs. Ferguson, I should be the one saying this."
Nicole's rude rebuttal made Angie glance at her with a glimmer in her eyes.
It was a meaningful gaze.
Nicole did not care about Quinn. She felt unlucky
Quinn threw down the fork and knife and said in a harsh tone, "I'm not in the mood to eat. I feel full after seeing her face!"
Nicole smiled, picked up a piece of bread, and took a bite.
Her laid-back look was even more irritating to Quinn.
Angie paused and glanced at Nicole. She was not a fool and could feel the tension between these two women.
She lowered her eyes and looked at Quinn with a smile.
“Mom, don't be upset. I’ll get the maid to prepare your meal and send it to your room."
Nicole was shocked when she heard Angie addressing Quinn as "Mom".
She was very puzzled.
Quinn glanced at Nicole provokingly and stood up.
"Okay, I'll wait for my dinner. I don't want to eat with this woman."
Nicole completely ignored Quinn.
Quinn went upstairs by herself.
The kind of respect Angie showed Quinn did not seem to be forced.
Nicole's eyes flickered, and a thousand thoughts ran through her mind.
"Is Ms. Ferguson here too?"
