The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge (Anna and Justin) novel Chapter 1408

“I thought it would be James or Lance. But it turned out to be one of Charles’ men.” Ralph harbored some doubts, pondering. “Besides, I’m afraid Charles might have some ulterior motives. I even had people closely monitoring his lawyer these past two days. After all, he hasn’t seen anyone besides his lawyer. But his lawyer is normal, and his call records have been checked. There’s been no contact with the murderer.”

“That’s strange. Could it be that the people under Charles are fiercely loyal to him? Were they afraid of getting exposed, so they acted on their own without communicating with him? Does he really have such an elite team?” Bella furrowed her brow in contemplation.

Suddenly, she chuckled coldly. “Could it be that James left himself a backdoor when he made his move the last time? Does he plan to kill with a borrowed knife?”

“What do you mean? Using Charles’ thugs to commit murder?” Justin asked in his low, magnetic voice.

“Since James was eager to take action, he must have dispatched people to monitor Rachel. When they found out she had contact with us, they wanted to silence her.” Although Bella had a fiery temper, she was calm during crucial moments.

Bella analyzed the situation meticulously. “But doing something like this is risky. They need to succeed on the first try and eliminate the threat as quickly as possible under our noses, which undoubtedly poses significant risks. So, James probably thought of using Charles’ men to do it. This way, even if the murderer was caught, the suspicion would fall on Charles, and he has ways to escape.”

Justin stared fixedly at Bella, as if she were a reincarnation of Athena, radiating boundless wisdom.

His mind stopped working at this moment, too engrossed in his admiration of her.

“Huh, the Iverson family really is a united bunch!” Ralph clenched his teeth in resentment. “I’ll investigate this, starting with James. Neither of these scumbag brothers will escape justice!”

“Surely, James has already gotten wind of it and cleaned himself up completely. This kind of hired murderer lacks a clear connection and leaves no direct evidence. I’m afraid it will be very difficult to catch him by the tail.” Bella’s eyes were cold and stern.
