“Ryan, you’re home early today.” Justin responded to his greeting.
“Honey, I’m home after a long day. Aren’t you going to give me a hug?” Ryan’s eyes carried a gentle smile as he held out his arms to Carrie, ignoring the black coat on his shoulders that slipped off to the ground.
Carrie’s heart tightened inexplicably, but she still obediently walked over and snuggled into the man’s arms like a cuddly cat.
Ryan’s tall frame enveloped her completely like a clam shell. There was a lingering warmth on his body from the heater in his car, transferring into Carrie’s skin and gradually easing her nerves.
“Ryan… Don’t get mad,” Carrie whispered softly, and only the two of them could hear it.
“Hmm? Why would I get mad?” Ryan asked hoarsely, his lips brushing past her ear.
“I, I…”
Carrie had learned to filter her words before speaking now, and she did not dare to continue after thinking about it.
“If you did anything that might make me angry, just give me a kiss. Then I won’t be mad.” The man’s slightly cold lips brushed against her flawless cheek.
Due to Bella and Justin’s presence, Carrie felt embarrassed, but she was even more afraid of pissing off Ryan.
Therefore, she stood on tiptoe and pecked his lips lightly.
But how could Ryan be satisfied with that? He placed his hand on the small of her back, forcefully turning the brief kiss into a deeper entanglement.
Yasmin came over at this time, holding a tray of refreshments. She was not fazed by the scene and smiled politely. “Mr. Salvador, Ms. Thompson, please enjoy the tea.”
Justin coughed lightly, picking up a tea cup and handing it to Bella first. “Bella, have some tea.”
“Okay.” Bella took the cup and withdrew her complicated gaze.
