“Got it.” Justin hung up the phone, his handsome face as dark as the sky before a storm.
“At such a sensitive time, Bethany still insists on meeting with Zoe in the middle of the night. Does this not prove that she is involved in leaking Carrie's diagnosis report? Does this not show that they have been conspiring together for a long time?”
Ryan’s bloodshot eyes widened, and he slammed his clenched fist onto the bed with such force that it nearly broke the bed.
“Your sister has probably been secretly collaborating with Liam and might have even communicated with your grandfather privately. Otherwise, the entire plan would not have been executed so timely and smoothly. They must have been plotting for a long time.”
Ryan suddenly remembered the night he went to deliver the engagement invitation to Logan. He ran into Zoe, who had come to deliver tea. However, Zoe had never been so diligent before. Thinking back, it was a clear case of ulterior motives.
“She is not my sister,” Ryan said. His eyes were red as he repeated the phrase over and over, filled with hatred. With each repetition, he was tearing Zoe to shreds in his mind.
“But she is your grandfather’s and mother’s favorite child. She’s a member of the Hoffman family and your father’s biological daughter.” Justin pressed down heavily on Ryan’s trembling shoulder. “Even if our deductions are accurate, without concrete evidence to strike her down in one blow, all your actions will only become leverage for them to use against you in the future.”
This was something Bella often said to him. Now, he was telling it to his best friend.
“Don’t think that becoming the CEO makes you invincible. They still have ways to bring you down, even to the point of preventing you from intervening in the Hoffman Group’s affairs. Don’t hand them the knife to stab you with. Revenge is never an overnight affair. Besides, what Zoe did this time is precisely what your grandfather wanted. If you go after her, you might end up hurting yourself.”
Justin’s cold eyes lowered, his slightly hoarse voice filled with fierce determination. “As for Bethany, I will handle her.”
“But... What difference is there between Bethany and Zoe?” Ryan, anxious, grabbed his arm. “If you deal with Bethany, Chairman Salvador will think you have ruined the Salvador family’s reputation and will take the opportunity to suppress and trouble you!”
“Don’t worry, I have a plan,” Justin said with a faint smile. “I miss my wife, and I have a way.”

When Justin returned to Crescent Bay, night had already fallen. As soon as he entered, Matt and Bella greeted him, saying that Carrie had woken up.
“How is Carrie?” Justin quickly wrapped his arms around Bella’s slender waist, his expression full of concern.
Bella sighed, shaking her head as she gently rubbed his cold hands. “Not well. Grandpa Nigel stayed with her for a while, but he felt unwell and went back to his room to rest. Now Yasmin is with her. How is Ryan?”
“I took him to the hospital. He had a high fever from standing out in the cold all night, but fortunately, he’s physically strong and managed to hold on.”
Bella’s long eyelashes were lowered. These two best friends were certainly devoted to their partners.
“Bella, come with me for a moment.”
