The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge (Anna and Justin) novel Chapter 1882

Mila first threw out a remark that was not quite befitting of her status but reflected her thoughts at this moment. “I feel like vomiting.”

Gregory’s eyes twitched. “What did you say?”

“Chairman Salvador, you must be a lucky man.” Mila took the lead and gracefully sat down, picking up a teacup. “Otherwise, with your brains, it would’ve been impossible to build such a large business.”

“You…!” Gregory glared at the woman’s indifferent face furiously, his words stuck in his throat.

But he was a man of high status, and to retort would make him look like a shrew.

“The Thompson family is more open-minded. As parents, we won’t interfere too much in our children’s marriages. I didn’t have much contact with Carrie, but my son likes her, so what’s wrong with me trying to help my son?

“Besides, what type of family did you choose for Carrie? I merely pressured them slightly, yet they immediately broke off the engagement overnight. This shows that they are a bunch of opportunists, only chasing after fame and fortune. As the wealthiest family in Savrow, don’t you think it’s beneath you to become in-laws with those people?”

Her words struck a chord with Nigel, and he nodded vigorously.

“If I was following Bella’s arrangements, as you accused, we could have stopped interfering once the engagement between your families was broken off.” Mila calmly said, “The reason I came to visit again is because I also adore Carrie. My eagerness to see her is no less than Ralph’s.”

“Mom…” A warm feeling surged in Ralph’s heart, his ears reddening.

Carrie slowly opened her eyes, her crystal-clear gaze looking at Mila with gratitude.

“Gregory, what you said just now was too much. Apologize to Madam Mila now!” Nigel glared coldly at his son, who only caused him trouble, obviously displeased.

Gregory pursed his pale lips, his gums aching with anger. He refused to speak.

Making him admit his mistakes and apologize to the Thompson family was too humiliating!

“Forget it, Old Master Nigel. Chairman Salvador was merely worried about his daughter, which made him flustered. As a mother, I could understand.” Mila lowered her gaze and set the teacup down. “But Chairman Salvador, you’re not young anymore. If you don’t have much work in the company, you should spend more time taking care of your health, like Wyatt. What’s the point of always meddling in your children’s marriages?”
