The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge (Anna and Justin) novel Chapter 1917

Justin felt Bella’s hand grow colder, and her breathing became heavy.

He knew she must have thought of those unpleasant memories and felt distressed.

Justin placed his warm palms on the back of her head, his slightly quivering lips kissing her forehead softly as he comforted her by the ear. “Bella, don’t think about those unhappy things. Look, aren’t I fine now? My wife is the best surgeon in the world to be able to stitch up this blockhead of mine. I feel smarter now.”

Bella’s breath hitched, and she shook her head.

She knew that old injury still lingered in his head, and it was never fully healed.

It was just that they had reconciled later, deep in love, and her affection highly eased his emotional and mental strain. The nerves in his brain no longer felt congested. Coupled with medication, his episodes happened less.

However, Bella knew that occasionally, when he was stressed and tensed, he would endure it during the day and secretly get out of bed to look for his painkillers after she was asleep.

Justin thought he did a good job hiding it, but she shared a bed with him and knew his every breath. How could he hide it from her?

Gregory’s pupils contracted, his stiffened face full of hatred and shock.

“Chairman Salvador! I was forced to do it back then… Shannon is your woman, and the man she brought had a knife with him, threatening me viciously to do their bidding… I didn’t dare to refuse... Ah!”

Gregory’s eyes bulged, and he kicked the man to the ground. “If you say that Shannon is my woman once more, I’ll cut off your tongue and feed it to the dogs! Don’t think I’ll let it go just because twenty years have passed. You treated the Salvador family’s bloodline like a joke, taking away our dignity. Shannon can’t repay this debt now, so you can pay it for her!”
