The Divorcee Who Shines novel Chapter 277

Chapter 277 Three People, Too Crowded

Who made her unhappy?

Besides himself, who else could it be? Ranita's already fiery heart became even more inflamed.

Ranita pursed her lips and spoke in a cool voice, "Brendon, I need to change. Can you please leave first?"

"Are you angry?" Brendon asked.

"I am angry. What are you going to do about it?" Ranita's lips curled up into a smile that was clearly cold.

What did her anger matter to Brendon?

In his mind, it was just something that could be resolved with one or two sentences.

"Ranita... I'm sorry..." Brendon tightened his arms around her and the scent of sweetness wafted over. Unable to bear it any longer, Ranita pushed him away and looked into Brendon's eyes as she asked, "Weren't you supposed to accompany Miss Murphy in trying on dresses? How come you have time to come here?"

Brendon fell silent.

His gaze was dark and oppressive for several seconds before he finally asked, "Did you hear about Shannon going to the birthday party too?"

Ranita clenched the dress tightly in her hand as she asked him back with a hint of sorrow in her voice, "Is she going with you?"

"Mm-hmm." This sound felt like a boulder crashing down on Ranita's heart while the flames burned fiercely inside of her until there was nothing left but ashes.

Ranita turned away from him coldly as she said, "Then what identity do I have when I go with you then?"

A marriage among three people was too crowded.

The atmosphere grew colder by the second.

Brendon held onto her hand tightly while staring at her pupils intently. He seemed conflicted but didn't say anything for a long time.

Silence spread throughout the room while Ranita's heart grew colder by the minute.

"Brendon... you should leave now." She pushed his hands away inch by inch before adding, "Shannon is waiting for you."
