The Enticing CEO's Chosen Bride novel Chapter 2103

The wedding reception was finally winding down, and Cicely slipped out of her elegant bridal gown, ready to change into another dress for the evening's toasts.

She emerged in a stunning red cocktail dress that hugged her figure, with a V-neck design that showcased her delicate collarbones and graceful neck. Her waist was slender, her body's proportions enviable in their perfection. Her hair, styled in soft waves, was gathered loosely at the nape of her neck, with a few tendrils framing her face. Simple stud earrings complemented her lovely earlobes.

The delicate bride was radiant in red. Cicely rarely wore such bold colors, and today, she was truly a sight to behold.

It was winter, and she wrapped herself in a fluffy faux fur coat. The dress was changed, but Cicely made herself comfortable in the bridal suite and showed no signs of wanting to leave.

"I'm tired; weddings are no fun at all," she grumbled, despite the beautiful and comfy ballet flats Seth had thoughtfully provided for her. She lay sprawled on the bed, reluctant to move.

Emiliana stood by, helpless. "You only get married once, Cicely. One final push, toast with the guests, and it's all done."d2

Cicely lay on her side, her fingers playing with the soft white duvet, still not convinced.

The door opened, and Seth walked in. "What happened?"

Emiliana was about to explain, but Cicely looked up at Seth with puffed cheeks and eyes sparkling with a hint of grievance. "Tired."

Seth sat at the foot of the bed, lifting Cicely's feet onto his lap and gently massaging them. "I'll have someone bring you something to eat in a bit."

Emiliana reminded them, "It's almost time to go out for the toasts."

"There's no need to go out."

Cicely blinked. "Not toasting?"

"I'll handle it."

After a few seconds of silence, Cicely raised her other foot onto Seth’s lap.

Seth continued to massage her feet as Emiliana looked away, feeling an unexpected pang of longing for such love. When a man fell in love, it could be intoxicating.

Charlie knocked on the door, hurrying them along. Cicely sat up, her energy seemingly renewed. "I'm coming too."

"I thought you were tired?"

Cicely raised an eyebrow and huffed, "I think seizing the chance to flaunt our love is more important."

Emiliana pinched the bridge of her nose, resigned to the couple's display of affection.

Seth carried Cicely from the room, with Charlie standing by. Issac was there as well, holding little Hugo in his arms.

"Daddy's holding mommy again," Hugo noted, his day seemingly brighter for it. But Seth gave him a look that seemed oddly stern.

Once in the banquet hall, Cicely insisted on being put down. Seth complied, and she immediately went to hug Hugo.

"Issac, give me Hugo."

Before she could finish, Seth had already scooped Hugo into his arms. Issac couldn't help but feel a tinge of animosity from Seth.

Cicely pouted, "Hugo..."

With Hugo in one arm and his hand holding Cicely, Seth said simply, "You are tired."

"Now, I'm not."

Seth pulled her close and kissed her cheek. "It's the same if I hold him. You reach your goal without getting tired, right?"

Cicely bit her lip, her eyes wavering. "What goal?"

"Aren't you thinking of showing off our child - the ultimate show of love?"

Cicely fell silent, and even Emiliana couldn't help but chuckle at Seth's words. Hugo blinked, realizing he was a little prop in their game of love.

Though Seth was indulging Cicely's whims, holding the cute and bright child—who was clearly a chip off the old block—brought more attention and admiration to Seth himself.

Watching Seth's smug, proud smile, Cicely couldn't help but feel a bit grumpy. But when people complimented her beauty, praised her handsome son, and lauded her husband's excellence, Cicely couldn't deny the pride swelling in her chest.

The evening continued without fatigue setting in. Later, they dined privately with Damon, Chloe, Kane, and others, and returned home early.

Tool-for-the-day Hugo fell asleep on the car ride home, his eyelids heavy after his meal.

Though they had housekeepers, Seth personally warmed some milk for Cicely. As he pushed open the bedroom door, the woman who should have been in the bathroom was standing by the bed, her fur coat discarded. She was in the process of letting down her hair.

Boxes were scattered across the bed, some opened. Clearly, she had been busy with something.

She turned at the sound of Seth entering, her hair, which had been up all day, cascading loosely over her shoulders in gentle waves.

The dress, though decent, was vibrant red, and it outlined her curves stunningly. With her soft, tousled hair, she was the picture of elegance and allure.

Unaware of the effect she was having, she casually brushed her hair aside and reached for the wardrobe.

Seth approached her, setting the milk aside, and asked, "Ready for a shower?"
