The crack of a fractured sternum echoed through the room.
Howard's body was slammed back, the force sending him crashing to the ground along with his chair, creating a cacophony of chaos.
Propped against the wall, Howard coughed up blood, his face contorted in agony as he groaned. "It hurts! Y-You… Why?"
Matthew's voice was cold as he replied, "Walter said someone would claim that book, and that person is me. He taught you medicine, yet you destroyed his family. That punch should teach you a lesson!"
Howard's face contorted in pain, and he showed a hint of surprise amidst his suffering. "My mentor… didn't lie to me? What he said was true? I…"
As he spoke, his voice grew quieter, his gasps weakening.
Matthew turned and walked away, reaching the clinic's entrance where the nurse who had chased the patient away earlier stood.
The nurse flashed a smile at Matthew. "Sir, you're leaving already? Safe travels!"
Matthew's voice was icy. "If you want to sell yourself, go to a nightclub. You'll make more money there. Don't tarnish the nursing profession!"
The nurse stood there, utterly bewildered by the unexpected scolding. Her mouth was agape, unsure of what to say in response.

Meanwhile, in a villa elsewhere, William's face was as cold as ice. Despite all efforts, they couldn't find a clue about Jeffrey's whereabouts.
The household staff member was drenched in sweat as he reported, "I've searched everywhere, but I couldn't find him. The owner of Rose Bar said Matthew went there but left later with a few people.
"The owner said that Jeffrey went there as well, but left earlier. I tried to check the security footage, but she said it's been down for a week because they needed to do some maintenance work. I think there's something fishy about the bar."
William's eagle-like eyes glinted with intensity. "How dare a snake dare to mess with the Smith family? Does she have a death wish? Wait until Sheldon gets here, he'll settle the score with her."
"Go investigate Matthew's background. I want every detail from his birth until now. I want to know who he is. How dare he mess with my grandson!"
The household staff member's surprise was obvious. It had been over 20 years since he had seen William this furious.
Someone had truly angered him this time. Matthew, Rachel, and the owner of Rose Bar were all in hot water. Lambda City was about to tremble from William's wrath.
