The Great Medical Saint novel Chapter 171

When Matthew saw the title, "Medieval Medicine" on the cover, he couldn't hide his excitement. He reached out to pet Max's head and tried to take the book.

But to his surprise, Max refused to let go. The dog growled softly, gnashing its teeth and holding the book tightly in its jaws. It was almost as if Max was saying, "I'll bite you if you try to take this!"

Matthew chuckled at the dog's defiance and let go. He turned to Cosmo and said, "Why don't you give it a try?"

As soon as Matthew released the book, Max trotted over to Cosmo, still clutching onto Medieval Medicine.

Cosmo gently took the book from Max, his face lighting up with a broad smile. "Good boy! I'll make sure you get a sausage every day if you come with us."

Max wagged its tail, making soft, happy noises, and circled Cosmo energetically. Cosmo handed it to Matthew and continued playing with Max.

Matthew opened the plastic bag and took out the Medieval Medicine, flipping through its pages.

He had been taught by his master about its contents before, but the fact that it was authored by Samuel Lawrence still filled him with excitement.

Jenny watched eagerly as Matthew examined Medieval Medicine. This book was a monumental work in the field of medicine, regarded by physicians as a treasure.

She wanted to take it from Matthew's hands but hesitated, fearing he might refuse.

Matthew noticed her eagerness and handed her the book with a smile. "Take a look, and give it back to me when you're done."

Jenny couldn't believe it. Walter had never allowed her to see the book because it belonged to someone else. He had only kept it in his custody. But now, Matthew was letting her read it. She couldn't help but feel excited.

Matthew chuckled. "You can take your time reading it."

Jenny's excitement soon faded. "I'll only read it for a little while. If I spend too much time on it, I'm worried someone might come and take it away."

As she flipped through the pages, she suddenly said, "The handwriting in the real book is almost identical to the fake. And the content is exactly the same too!"

Matthew nodded in agreement, noticing the same situation. He realized that even though the fake copy was a replica, the prescriptions inside were genuine and could actually heal people.
