Did Silas really need to hit Jensen?
Silas' expression fluctuated as he clenched his fist. But when he heard that he wouldn't be able to keep his clinic open if he didn't take action, his temper flared up.
He rushed forward and started wildly throwing punches. "I'll kill you! I'll kill you! If I can't open up my clinic, no one can!"
At this moment, he seemed possessed and kept muttering continuously as his punches rained down. However, his punches were weak and his execution was incorrect. Although it looked like a violent attack, the damage was negligible.
Matthew reckoned that if he were the one taking action, Jensen's bones would've broken with a single punch.
He just watched silently. He had said so much earlier to urge Silas to vent his frustration.
Jensen's men who had been knocked down by Matthew earlier began getting back up, grimacing in pain. Seeing Silas hitting Jensen, they didn't dare to say anything.
Jensen covered his head and gritted his teeth, not daring to fight back. For the first time, he felt fear. Matthew's words about ruthless retribution made him shudder. It was terrifying.
He just hoped that after this beating, the matter would be settled with no future retaliation.
At the entrance to the clinic, neighbors and passersby stood shocked by this scene. They had never seen something like this before.
In a car parked by the roadside, Baxter watched what happened in the clinic through the window. He was too stunned to speak.
He was too far away to hear what was being said inside, but he saw Jensen being beaten without daring to fight back.
The plan to shut down the clinic with Jensen's help had clearly failed.
In the back seat sat a man in his 50s with gold-rimmed glasses and a chubby face.
When he saw what was happening, he said coldly, "Forget about this clinic for now. Investigate his background thoroughly before making the next move."
The man was Emmanuel Kendrick, the director of Medicare Hospital. He was a cautious man who acted meticulously.
Baxter replied, "Got it, Mr. Kendrick. Shall we go see that beautiful president now?"
Emmanuel's lips curled into a knowing smile at the mention of the beautiful president. "Yes, let's go meet the beautiful president and see if she can handle us."
