Not worthy to carry Hayden's shoes?
Matthew had been putting up with Sara's behavior throughout the journey and had run out of patience. He retorted coldly, "You're belittling a driver to elevate that Hobbes guy. Don't you think it's a joke?"
With that, he turned and walked toward the gate.
Sara glanced at Matthew's retreating figure in shock. How dared he say such things?
Seeing that Matthew had almost reached the gate, she shouted angrily, "Stop right there!"
Matthew acted as if he hadn't heard her and continued walking toward the gate.
Sara glanced back at Hayden, wanting him to send someone to teach Matthew a lesson. But seeing Hayden busy talking to several people, she abandoned the idea of bothering him.
Fuming, she chased after Matthew and caught up to him just as he reached the car.
Gritting her teeth, she yanked open the car door and sat inside, slapping the seat heavily as she yelled, "Why didn't you walk me out? And how dare you, a mere driver, talk back to me? Do you know the consequences? Do you understand your place?"
Matthew said nothing. He just started the car, shifted gears, and drove off.
Sara frowned. This driver was becoming increasingly outrageous! He'd even started the car without her command. If she didn't teach him a lesson, her mood would be ruined for the day.
"When we get back to Wealthwave Group, I'll tell to Rachel to fire you. I won't let you off for disrespecting me and making me upset."
She then leaned back and closed her eyes. Just looking at Matthew now annoyed her, so she'd rather shut her eyes and not look at him.
The car zoomed by, overtaking one vehicle after another. After some time, the car finally stopped.
Sara opened her eyes and saw Matthew still sitting in the car. She frowned again. "What are you doing sitting there? Don't you know how to open the door for me, you blind idiot?"
