The Imposter Bride (Natalia and Magnus) novel Chapter 452

Natalia's heart swelled with emotion as she leaned in and planted a tender kiss on little Jonas' rosy cheek. "Thank you for that joke, sweetie. Mommy's really happy."

Jonas, seeing the brightness return to his mother's face, nodded with glee. "Mommy, just like the little camel loves the big camel, that's how much I love you."

Natalia nodded, her heart filling with a bittersweet ache. Yes, the big camel loved the little one, but she had lost her own daughter...

However, Natalia didn't let her worries show; she didn't want her son to be troubled by her sadness. She chatted with Jonas while her hands deftly prepared a few dishes, and soon brought them to the dining table.

Jonas bustled about, setting the table, and when everything was ready, he pulled Natalia to sit down. "Mommy, will you eat with me, please?"

Natalia couldn't bear to refuse her insightful son and sat down, helping Jonas fill his plate with food.

Jonas ate with relish, praising her cooking and shoveling bites into his mouth, nodding contentedly. "Mommy, your cooking is just as delicious as ever. I love it so much!"

Watching Jonas eagerly pinch food with his fingers, Natalia laughed. "You little rascal, go wash your hands before you eat."

"Okay, okay, I'm going!" Jonas chuckled and scampered off towards the kitchen.

Just then, Magnus walked in from outside and caught the tender moment between Natalia and Jonas. He nearly broke down right there. How long had it been since he'd seen his wife smile? Her smile was so genuinely beautiful, yet for over a year, it had been absent from her face.

Magnus stood frozen at the doorway, gazing at Natalia's radiant smile, waves of emotion crashing within him. That smile was everything he'd vowed to cherish in his lifetime. If it meant seeing her smile again, he'd give anything!

Jonas, with freshly washed hands, noticed his dad at the door and waved him over excitedly. "Daddy, over here! Come see what Mommy made. It's so yummy!"

Natalia looked up and met Magnus' gaze, her heart softening. She gave him a gentle smile, inviting him to join them. "Come on, dinner's getting cold."

Magnus felt like leaping for joy. He noticed another dish in the kitchen and brought it to the table, complimenting Natalia's culinary skills with excitement.

Natalia blushed modestly. "Oh, it's not as extraordinary as you make it sound."

But Jonas chimed in, "Daddy's right! Your food is the best. Come eat with us, Daddy!"

Magnus nodded and took his seat, joining in the meal. The family of three enjoyed their most harmonious dinner in over a year, laughing and sharing stories. Especially Jonas, whose school anecdotes kept Natalia giggling.
