The Indifferent Ex-Husband: Heartstrings in the Mall of Fate novel Chapter 222

Sophia wanted to say something, but as the words reached her lips, her mind just went blank. Ivan's sudden confession had left her completely flustered.

Everyone was staring at her.

Zachary and Jolin were both shocked yet excited.

Don was more shocked than anything else. Not so much at Ivan's liking for Sophia, but at his bold public declaration of affection.

This was completely out of Ivan's character.

After the initial shock wore off, Don couldn't help casting a worried glance toward Brandon.

Brandon’s handsome face was taut. His grip on the glass had unconsciously tightened, his lips almost pressed into a thin line, and his eyes were fixed on Sophia.

Sophia, still flustered, looked at Ivan with a face full of embarrassment.

Alex, who was friendly with both of them, particularly Ivan, was all in favor of them being together.

As the atmosphere grew tense, he initiated a round of clapping and chanting, "Get together, get together."

The others joined in the clapping and chanting, "Get together, get together."

Even Zachary looked at Sophia reassuringly, smiling, "Sophia, Ivan's a great catch. Don’t miss your chance."

"Yeah, our Ivan is a good guy."

Alex chimed in with a laugh, "He's tall, handsome, smart, an Ivy League grad, gentle, devoted, responsible, and he is not a playboy or has any bad habits—the kind of man you can't even find with a lantern."

"What's most important is, you've known each other for years, that’s reassuring."

Zachary added with a smile.

"Yeah, this is the first time I've seen Ivan go after a girl."

"Me too, I've known Ivan for years and have never seen him show interest in any girl."

In the midst of the egging on, a "snap"—the sound of glass shattering—abruptly filled the air.

Everyone fell silent.

Instinctively, they all looked toward the source of the sound.
